Cantonment Regulations & Member Assistance
ARPA is situated in an active Indian Army Cantonment zone. Strict adherence to military security, traffic speed limits, and equestrian arena etiquette is mandatory for all academy members, riders, and visitors.
Cantonment Security & Station Discipline
Mandatory instructions governing entry, movement, and conduct inside the cantonment premises.
Checkpost & Gate Entry Protocols
Entry and exit are permitted exclusively through Main Military Gate and Second Gate.
- All members must display an active ARPA identity card alongside a valid government photo ID (Aadhaar / Voter ID / Driving License / Passport).
- Comply immediately with sentry inspection. Random security frisking and vehicle boot checks are mandatory.
- Affix your ARPA dashboard vehicle parking pass if driving inside.
Speed Limit & Traffic Regulation
Strict maximum speed limit of 30 km/hr applies to all vehicles across the cantonment corridor.
- Station roads are radar-patrolled by Military Provost units. Violators will face immediate station vehicle impoundment and academy disciplinary action.
- Horses and cavalry patrols always maintain absolute right-of-way. Give way at least 15 metres prior.
- Zero honking or sudden engine revving anywhere near stables or training tracks.
Photography & Drone Prohibition
Strict enforcement under the Official Secrets Act and cantonment defense orders.
- Absolute ban on camera drones, unmanned aerial devices, and unauthorized filming across cantonment limits.
- Zero photography or videography of sentry checkposts, military buildings, defensive barriers, or personnel.
- Mobile photography inside the ARPA equestrian arena is permitted solely for member training documentation.
Escort Policy & Restricted Zones
Corridor discipline must be maintained between entry gates and academy grounds.
- Civilian guests and accompanying family members must remain accompanied by the registered ARPA badge-holder at all times.
- Travel only along designated arterial corridors connecting Main Military Gate / Second Gate to the ARPA complex.
- All surrounding military headquarters, living barracks, arms depots, and parade grounds are strictly Out of Bounds.
Equestrian Safety & Riding Etiquette
Standard safety standards enforced across all ARPA training arenas, jumping paddocks, and polo fields.
Mandatory Riding Gear
Riders will not be permitted to mount without compliant personal protective equipment.
- Three-point harness equestrian safety helmet (BIS / CE / ASTM certified) must be fastened before mounting.
- Riding boots with a distinct heel or jodhpur boots with chaps. No flat sneakers or open footwear.
- Riding gloves and back protectors are strongly advised, especially during jumping and cross-country drills.
Arena Etiquette & Right of Way
Prevent collisions and ensure rider safety in shared schooling arenas.
- Pass oncoming riders left-to-left.
- Riders at faster paces (canter/trot) keep to the outer track (rail); riders walking or schooling stay on the inner track.
- Give jumping combinations a wide berth; call out "Track!" or "Diagonal!" clearly before crossing school lines.
Stable & Horse Interaction
Respect equine temperament and yard hygiene at all times.
- Do not feed horses treats (carrots, apples, sugar cubes) without groom or stable master supervision to avoid colic or biting habits.
- Approach stalls calmly; speak softly before entering a horse's box. Never run or shout around horses.
- Always lead horses with a lead rein; never wrap leads or reins around your hands or wrists.
Mounted Discipline & Health
Focus and alert horsemanship are paramount to prevent incidents.
- Strict ban on mobile phone usage or wearing audio earphones while mounted or schooling.
- If feeling fatigued, dizzy, or if a mount becomes agitated, alert the instructor immediately and safely dismount.
- Always follow the instructions of ARPA coaches, yard managers, and duty officers without dispute.
Navigating Your Member Dashboard
Quick answers on tokens, skills evaluation, tournament participation, and billing.
Riding tokens are allocated with your membership tier or purchased in blocks. You can view your current token balance under the Passport tab. Each regular schooling session or polo instructional chukker consumes the designated tokens upon confirmation with your instructor.
Your Riding Passport tracks your equestrian mastery across flatwork, jumping, horsemanship, and stable discipline. ARPA chief instructors assess your competence during regular sessions and officially certify new milestone ratings directly in the system.
Navigate to the Tournaments tab. When an official tournament has an open nomination window, click the "Self-Nominate" button, select your preferred handicap/category, and specify horse preferences. Once the selection committee finalizes the lineup, shortlisted squads and allotted mounts will be displayed.
Visit the Membership tab to view your active plan, expiration date, and complete transaction history. You can also view receipt references for all membership dues and clinic registrations.
Click the Edit Profile button at the top of your dashboard to update your contact details. For vehicle number updates, please alert the Academy Secretariat so updated clearance lists can be dispatched to the Main Military Gate and Second Gate sentry posts.
